A passenger tried to physically assault two cabin crew members, the airline said. The passenger was trying to do the same thing again and again. So they decided to drop the passenger from the plane. A case has been registered in this incident.

According to the complaint, the passenger continued to behave inappropriately, including physically assaulting two cabin crew members. He did not heed verbal or even written warnings. Forced, the pilot decided to take the flight back to Delhi and upon landing, the passenger was taken off the plane and handed over to the security personnel.

The airline said in the FIR filed by them, they have handed over the passenger to the police to bring the matter under the law. “The safety and dignity” of every person on board is important to Air India, Air India said in a statement. They are sorry for the inconvenience caused to passengers. They also said that the flight would leave again that afternoon for London.

According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the Air India Boeing 787 took off at 6:35 am, then returned to Delhi at 9:42 am. Civil Aviation is also investigating the incident.
